Microsoft PowerShell MVP for another year!

After hours of refreshing the status page, following the group chat between fellow MVPs, I finally got the email: Congratulations! I just arrived at my manager’s house for a BBQ with my colleagues, a nice way to start the evening 🙂 In this small blog post, I would like to thank a few people.

Thank you!

In no particular order, but the Community people first, I would like to thank:

The Community

Yes, the most essential part for me doing the things that I do in the Microsoft world is the community! I feel so at home at meetups, conferences, etc., and I’m always welcomed and cared for. But also all the responses I get on my blogs that I write, the Podcasts that I’m in, and recently the events where I was a speaker! Thank you!

Adnan Hendricks

Adnan nominated me for the MVP program, encouraged me to do more, and asked me to do a session at Workplace Ninjas NL this year about something related to Automation/PowerShell, which I did. And he showed me around Seattle during the MVP Summit, always lovely to have someone who knows his way around 🙂

Kenneth van Surksum

Kenneth asked me to be in the Program Panel of the Experts Live NL event, which I have now done for three years in a row. As a result, I engaged with more people, and this year I submitted my sessions and was selected to do a small demo session, which was great! Thanks man!

Andrew Pla

I was a guest twice on Andrew’s PowerShell Podcast, which helped me gain confidence in podcasting, and I finally met him in person at PSConfEU. Great guy, nice chatting IRL and having drinks together!

WorkplaceDudes

I’ve been on their Podcast twice and attended many of their events. It’s always lovely to meet Jeroen Burgerhout, Engin Soysal, and Pascal Vis. But also, he’s not part of the active WorkplaceDudes anymore, Richard Sousa Ferreira!

ScriptRunner

Thanks, ScripRunner, for sponsoring my site; it helps out, and special thanks to Heiko Brenn! It was great fun being on your Podcasts and at PSConfEU 2024 and the PSSaturday event! (And having a “few” beers 😉 )

Wrapping up

And those were the thanks I wanted to give to the people who helped me along the way. Being an MVP is nice, but being a part of a big community, too! Have a lovely weekend!
